Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 3, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how CrowdAm ('CrowdAm', 'we', 'us') collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards your information when you use our website, mobile applications, and related services (together, the 'Platform'), including contests, U-Judge live judging, I-Challenge, advisory campaigns, and wallet features. By using the Platform, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information in the following ways:
- Account information: name, email address, phone number, username, password, and profile photo when you sign up or verify your account via OTP.
- Submission and campaign content: videos, images, captions, votes, comments, and any other content you upload or post to a campaign, contest, or challenge.
- Live participation data: your presence, interactions, and votes when you join a U-Judge live judging session or I-Challenge, including timestamps of when you enter and leave a session.
- Wallet and payment information: transaction history, wallet balance, withdrawal requests, and payout destination details (e.g. bank account or payment provider reference). We do not store full card numbers or bank credentials — these are handled by our payment processors.
- Device and usage data: IP address, browser type, device identifiers, operating system, pages viewed, and actions taken on the Platform, collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies.
- Communications: messages you send through chats, support requests, and any information you provide when contacting us.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and manage your account and verify your identity.
- Operate contests, challenges, live judging sessions, and advisory campaigns, including calculating votes and determining winners.
- Process wallet transactions, rewards, and withdrawal requests.
- Send you service notifications, updates about campaigns you follow or joined, and — where you have opted in — marketing communications.
- Monitor the Platform for fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms of Use.
- Improve the Platform through analytics, testing, and product development.
- Comply with legal obligations, including tax and anti-fraud reporting.
3. Content You Submit
Submissions, votes, comments, and content you post to a public campaign, contest, or live session are visible to other users of the Platform, and in some cases to the campaign organizer or sponsoring brand. Do not submit content you do not want to be publicly visible. Live judging sessions may be recorded for moderation, dispute resolution, and quality purposes.
4. Payments & Wallet Data
Wallet top-ups, rewards, and withdrawals are processed through third-party payment processors. When you initiate a withdrawal, we share the minimum information necessary (such as your name and payout destination) with our payment processor to complete the transaction. We retain transaction records for accounting, fraud-prevention, and legal compliance purposes.
7. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Platform, comply with legal obligations (including tax and financial record-keeping requirements), resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.
8. Data Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls on our systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your Rights & Choices
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access, correct, or update your personal information.
- Request deletion of your account and associated personal information, subject to our legal and financial record-keeping obligations.
- Opt out of marketing communications at any time.
- Object to or restrict certain processing of your information.
To exercise these rights, contact us using the details in Section 13. Some information, such as transaction and wallet records, may need to be retained even after account deletion to meet legal obligations.
10. Children's Privacy
The Platform is not directed to children under 13, and users must meet the minimum age requirement in our Terms of Use to create an account. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child without appropriate consent, we will delete it.
11. International Data Transfers
Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than the one in which you reside. Where we transfer information across borders, we take steps to ensure it receives an adequate level of protection consistent with this Privacy Policy.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the Platform or by other means before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
13. Contact Us
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or how we handle your information, contact us at Support@crowdam.com or write to us at Uduimo Itseuli Foundation Building, Olajuwon Olayide Extension, Ajibode Road, Ibadan, Nigeria.
